Yvette Donaldson-Brown was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ. She later attended New Jersey City University where she obtained her Bachelor and Master’s degree in Criminal Justice. In 2016 she enrolled in Widener Delaware Law School as an evening student.
While in Law School, she was a member of the Black Law Student Association and served as the Barrister Liaison and the Social Chair. Also, She was the Vice President of the Food and Drug Law Association. Additionally, she was a member of the Widener Law Review. While at Widener, Yvette volunteered in the Veteran Clinic and served as Co-Counsel arguing a case of first impression in front of the U.S Court of Appeals for Veteran’s Affair. She graduated Cum Laude in 2020.
She is a First Generation Lawyer. She is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland and the District of Columbia. She is also admitted to practice in the District Court of New Jersey and the Eastern and Middle District of Pennsylvania. She has always been passionate about working with the young people encouraging them to follow their dreams in spite of any obstacles they might face.
She focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation matters including general liability, mass casualty and insurance defense, corporate litigation, franchise litigation, benefit plan litigation and health care litigation. She has experience advising physicians, hospitals, and long-term care facilities on claims of medical malpractice, negligence, corporate liability and fiduciary claims.
