Classie Colinet is an experienced attorney who has dedicated her career to public service and the advancement of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
Classie is very involved in the New Jersey State Bar Association and is the Co-Chair of the Task Force for Racial Equity and Co-Chair of the Child Welfare Law Section. She is also Leadership Academy Fellow. She is also an active member of ABWL and leads the law student mentoring committee and is a member of the social justice and annual scholarship committees. Additionally, she is a member of the New Jersey Supreme Court Board on Continuing Legal Education.
Classie previously served as the Chair of the Minorities in the Profession Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association and helped develop several programs that provided attorneys of color with support, continuing legal education, as well as mentorship and guidance on how to excel in their careers. In addition, she previously served as a member of the Vicinage 13 Committee for Diversity, Inclusion and Community Engagement, where she had the opportunity to moderate the Annual Spring Programs which included panel discussions that covered topics related to racial equity, cultural competency, diversity, and inclusion.
She received both her Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor degrees from Boston College. She also earned a Professional Certificate in Inclusion and Diversity from Yale University and a Professional Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion Cornell University.
