The Association of Black Women Lawyers of New Jersey (ABWL-NJ) proudly congratulates Tracy M. Thompson on her historic appointment as the Chief Volunteer Officer (CVO) of the Capital Area YMCA, which was announced on February 16, 2025. Thompson makes history as the First Woman and First Person of Color to hold this esteemed position, a milestone that reflects both her exceptional leadership and the continued progress toward diversity and inclusion in community organizations.

Thompson, a Past-President of ABWL-NJ, has long been a champion of service, equity, and community engagement, and her new role will allow her to expand her impact even further. We look forward to supporting Thompson in her continued efforts to drive meaningful progress.
